Meet Grace Lounsbury

Associate, Client Programs

I’ve been at MG2 for nearly two years and not once have I felt pigeon-holed.

What do you do at MG2?

As an associate on Seattle’s Client Programs team, I work on a variety of projects. I spend each day exploring how best to portray MG2’s ideas graphically and technically. I’m responsible for communicating information to the rest of the project team, so we can create quality design packages.

What traits do you most admire in your colleagues?

My colleagues are exceptional people. I admire their openness to adopting new workflows and technologies. I’d characterize everyone on my team as being respectful, encouraging, and having great senses of humor. The prevalence of these personality traits creates a positive work environment that is both fun and professional.

What is your favorite snack from the kitchen or catered events?

Costco double chocolate chip muffins at Friday Morning Meetings! Don’t get between me and my double chocolate chip muffins!

What is the best project you’ve worked on at MG2 and why?

I had the opportunity to work on a pre-design package for a five-star hotel in Okinawa, Japan last year. I enjoyed utilizing the design skills I’d developed in college and having the chance to work closely with my colleagues, especially Principal Ron Mitchell. I learned a lot throughout the exercise and felt proud to contribute ideas.

In your professional development, how has MG2 supported you?

I’ve been at MG2 for nearly two years and not once have I felt pigeon-holed. As I earn hours toward my NCARB Certificate, I’ve found if I communicate to studio leaders that there is a category I am deficient in, they’ve been excellent in assigning me to projects that will give me the necessary experience.

If you were not working at MG2 and could do anything in the world, what would you be doing?

I would be a kickboxing tie-dye artist (shibori dyeing specifically), as well as a part-time pastry chef with a side hustle as a freelance jazz musician! I have a lot of hobbies.
