MG2 served as design architects and master planners for The Whittaker, an innovative mixed-use project incorporating boutique apartments, ground-level retail, and underground parking. Named after native West Seattleite, Jim Whittaker—the first American to summit Mt. Everest—these luxury apartments offer everything needed to take relaxation and recreation seriously.
The two residential buildings are attached by a cross-block pedestrian connection, which simultaneously functions as the service area and parking access for retailers and residents.
While multifaceted in nature, the team was able to expertly take The Whittaker project through extensive design review processes, securing necessary approvals from the Seattle Design Commission.
