David Hewitt, FAIA, RA

Principal

A recipient of the American Institute of Architects’ Seattle Medal of Honor, the highest award one can achieve, David Hewitt believes an architect has to apply thoughtful design to each project, driving an economical, lasting, and positive impact in their community. He has dedicated his career to this cause infusing a sense of identity and pride into every environment he has helped shape. David brings this commitment to MG2’s commercial studio with the same ethos, enriching the firm’s expertise in mixed-use developments.

Evident in the many notable spaces that emphasize pedestrian experience, connectivity, and communication, David has an uncanny ability to find creative solutions that provide a sense of dignity for the people and places in which they reside. Some of his award-winning projects include the Harbor Steps in downtown Seattle and several civic centers for Sound Transit, Port of Seattle, King County Metro, and Washington State Ferries, all of which seamlessly integrate into the urban landscape. When he isn’t helping clients advance their goals, David draws inspiration from other artists and architects around the globe.
