Blending colors and materials authentic to the Pacific Northwest, the MG2 design team takes guests on a journey of revitalization amid the tranquility of nature.
Thirty minutes east of Seattle, Salish Lodge & Spa is perched along the river next to the breathtaking Snoqualmie Falls. Following a successful exterior renovation of its main building in early 2018, Muckleshoot Indian Tribe asked MG2 to partner on a resort expansion on an adjacent lot. The new development’s planned 182 guest rooms will more than double the lodge’s current offerings.
Timber harvested from the site will be used as columns and beams to articulate entrances, corridors and lobbies throughout the built environment. Board-formed concrete, blackened cedar and corten steel will also be featured prominently. This palette of rugged, beautiful materials combined with the vibrant patterns of tribal artwork will create a guest experience authentically unique to the Pacific Northwest.
The project will boast is an expansive state-of-the-art spa and fitness center, offering a medley of environments for personalized treatment programs. To help guests rejuvenate, MG2 has woven indoor-outdoor programming to enhance spiritual awareness and a connection to nature.
