Camp Korey in Mt. Vernon, WA, provides children with life-altering medical conditions with a free transformational camp experience. Due to MG2’s continued involvement in Camp Korey’s growth over the years, the team was selected to bring the camp’s vision to life in its new location. Under a pro bono agreement, MG2 successfully delivered and continues to implement the master plan, in addition to providing ongoing architectural services for multiple structures and fundraising assistance.

The property was initially a campground with disjointed structures, unfit for children requiring medical care. MG2 collaborated with the camp director and physician to understand and address campers’ unique challenges while ensuring an inspiring camp experience.

With MG2’s completion of the new recreational center, Camp Korey’s vision is materializing. The center is an ADA-compliant facility featuring administrative offices, an indoor gymnasium, a rock-climbing wall, and a basketball court providing stunning views of the location.

MG2 saved costs and minimized waste for Camp Korey by repurposing multiple buildings and using existing donated steel provided by Costco Wholesale to construct an archery pavilion and maintenance center. The team is also partnering with Seattle University students to transform the existing “Fisher Lodge” building into a safe and accessible facility, further expanding opportunities to house campers.

As Camp Korey continues to evolve, MG2 is actively engaged as an advisor through ongoing enhancements and growth.

MG2 developed the master plan below and provided architectural services for all structures marked with a red icon.
