Harborplace Makeover Gets Approval from City Design Panel

A planned overhaul of the two aging Harborplace pavilions is moving forward after a city architecture panel approved the design of the buildings on Thursday, praising the developers for giving the buildings a more unified feel.

Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp. and designer MG2 presented renderings to the city’s Urban Design and Architecture Review Panel in November and were panned by panelists for having two distinct designs on the two sides of each pavilion.
