Tacoma Convention Center

With goals for revitalization and economic development, the City of Tacoma set out to create a world-class destination for business events. MG2’s design for the Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade Center offers a contemporary vision for the city. Located on a unique site in the heart of downtown Tacoma that spans three blocks and drops 60 feet, the design uses every angle and features a glass curtain wall to encourage interaction and transparency between interior activities and the surrounding neighborhood.

Ample structured parking, flexible technology, and a range of exhibition and meeting spaces accommodate a variety of audiences. The surrounding hotels, restaurants, and retail shops have been bolstered by the activity the convention center generates, further adding to the sense of destination and pride for the community and visitors.
