“There’s a collective drive to see the greater team succeed.”

What do you do at MG2?

I am a project manager on the Target account and I focus on the pharmacy, CVS and clinic design for the brand’s
retail stores.

Is there anything special about your team’s dynamic?

Everyone on our team has their own unique strengths. This creates a great environment to learn from one another. I feel like I can ask questions without fear of judgment. It is a beautiful thing to work with people who understand and appreciate what it means to grow together in a work environment…plus there is always laughter to lighten the mood.

What traits do you most admire in your colleagues?

I admire my colleagues’ consistent willingness to help. There is a sense of teamwork and unity among us, even when we are all busy working on different things. People take the time to offer ideas and help brainstorm solutions to challenges. It never feels like it is simply one person’s job to get something done. Instead, there’s a collective drive to see the greater team succeed.

Do you ever hang out with your colleagues outside of work? If so, what do you do?

Yes! I’ve had the pleasure of playing in a couple of kickball games with my colleagues. I hadn’t played kickball since elementary school, and it quickly became obvious my skills had declined! I also recently attended a local food festival with one of my coworkers and met some of her friends. It was nice meeting new people. Last year, I made the move from Miami to Irvine to start my job at MG2 and it can be overwhelming expanding your network when you’re new to an area. I appreciate my colleagues being so welcoming!

What is your favorite snack from the kitchen or catered events?

Peanut M&Ms and pretzels are a perfect snack! Sweet and salty! Chocolate and peanut-y! Usually this snack is the fastest to run out compared to the others.

What is your favorite social event / activity at MG2?

Friday Morning Meeting is my favorite. We come together and enjoy each other’s company at the end of a busy week. It’s a perfect opportunity to talk with colleagues, especially those I don’t necessarily work with daily. Along with the amazing food (and laughter), I enjoy the presentations. They range from reviewing information about a project to discussing design theory to engaging staff in interactive challenges. Our Friday Morning Meetings also feature gift card raffles, which make me feel appreciated.
