Civil Engineer

The civil engineer will assist architectural project teams create land development projects from start to finish, including site planning, design, and construction. The civil engineer will work alongside another civil engineer, and will assist in reviewing deliverables from external civil partners and other stakeholders.

What your day will look like:

Assist architectural project teams create land development projects from start to finish, including site planning, design, and construction.
Review deliverables from external civil partners and other stakeholders for conformance with client standards, constructability and coordination, and industry best practices
Assist in development and updates of client development standards
Develop project schedules and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Review site investigations and surveys, and reports and recommendations based on findings.
Review prepared plans for site development, including grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater management systems.
Conduct site inspections and oversee construction activities to ensure that work is completed in accordance with plans and specifications.
Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, specifications, and drawings.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
10+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, including site planning, design, and construction.
Experience with Civil3D software
Knowledge of site, utility, and stormwater management systems.
Experience with municipal, private, and public land development projects.
Strong project management and scheduling skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

National Salary Range:

Minimum 10+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development (domestic experience preferred): $118,000 – $153,000

If position is eligible for remote status, ranges may be adjusted. Acknowledging the time employees typically spend in the role, compensation is dependent on applicable years of experience and skillset.
