By incorporating innovative and sustainable design strategies, MG2 created a space truly fit for a progressive energy leader.

With the design of its new headquarters building, Fujian Provincial Electric and Power Company wanted to show the community that they are a modern, innovative energy producer and not just a utility provider.

MG2’s design for the 31-story tower features a unique building profile that represents a bolt of lightning — conveying the impact of the company’s high-tech energy solutions while also creating an iconic landmark in the Fuzhou skyline.

A variety of green design strategies — such as the building’s south-north orientation, natural ventilation, multi-level roof gardens, and low-E silkscreen glass — combine to create a sustainable and contemporary office environment. The energy-efficient curtain wall, which was specifically designed and manufactured for the high rise, has since become an architectural standard that has brought greater efficiencies to buildings throughout China.
